Q: What wil happen on weigh-in day May 22?
A: We will weigh-in contestants beginning at 7 AM. This will include, body fat %, weight, measurements, and completing registration. Depending on the lines, participants should expect the process to take about 30 minutes per person.
Q:When is the last day I can mail in my registration?
A: All mail ins should be recieved no later than Thursday, May 20th.
Q: Do I have to be a gym member anywhere?
A: No. All memberships and training with a gym are strictly optional
Q: What do I wear on weigh in day?
A: All participants must weigh in wearing a t-shirt and shorts with no pockets and shoes off.
You must weight out in the same apparel as the weigh in- this will be validated by photo
Q: Can more than one person per household enter?
A: Yes. Any person 18 years of age or older is eligable to participate, and there is no limit to household members that can enter.
Q: What if I'm not 18, can I still enter?
A: Yes, but you will not be eligable to win the prizes.
Q: Will the weigh in be publicly displayed?
A: No, all weigh-in information will be private unless you, the particant, direct us otherwise.
Q: Do I have to live in Charlottesville to participate?
A: No, we will take any participants, as long as they come to the initial weigh in the morning of May 22. To be eligible to win prizes you must also come to the final weigh in on July 31.
Q: Can I still participate even if I don't come to the weigh ins?
A: Yes, you can register, and be a part of all our education and training offerings, but you will not be eligible to win the cash prizes from the official weigh in.
Q: How do I Register?
A: Fill out the online registration form, and mail with your Donation to PO Box 7284, Charlottesville VA 22906 c/o Hope Community Center. Or deliver to 341 11th Street NW, Charlottesville VA 22903. You can also go to Golds or ACAC on Saturday 05/15 8:30AM - 11 AM, Monday 05/17/ from 4:30 PM - 7:PM at Golds Gym or ACAC, also Tuesday 05/18 4:30-7:00 PM at Golds Gym & ACAC Downtown (only). State Farm employees can sign up in Flex Room A and B on May 19th at 11 AM to 1 PM.
Q: How do I weigh in?
A: In the East Parking Lot of Scott Stadium on May 22nd.
Q: What does it Cost?
A: $25 in Advance, $35 on the Day of the Event.
Q: What is the training program entail?
A: There will be voluntary sessions offered during the course of the 10 weeks. Times and Schedule are to be announced.
Q: What do I get for the Entry Fee?
A: T-shirt, 10 week Education Program Via E-mail, Training Session Invites, Biggest Loser Cville Backpack & Waterbottle.
Q: Do I Have to be at ALL the weighins?
A: It is strongly encouraged that you are at the initial and final weigh in to be able to participate in the $1000 prize. All other weighins are optional.
Q: Do I have to participate in the training program?
A: No, all training programs and events are optional and are used by HOPE and Biggest Loser Cville to motivate and build community.
